Global Conference on Disaster Risk Reduction for Civil Society

The Global Conference on Disaster Risk Reduction for Civil Society is the biggest civil society event in the thematic pavilion of “Civil Society Collaboration and DRR” as part of the public forum of the WCDRR.

There will be a total of 9 sessions (3 sessions per day) between 14th and 16th March, with an expected attendance of over 2000 participants from around the world.

The main event will take place on 17th March, consisting of the main symposium and entertainment such as traditional art performances from the disaster-affected Tohoku region in north-eastern Japan.

Japanese and international guest speakers (Japanese- English Interpretation available) will share lessons learnt, experiences and expertise from across the world.
