The Global Conference on Disaster Risk Reduction for Civil Society is the biggest civil society project in the thematic pavilion of “Civil Society Collaboration and DRR” as part of the public forum of the 3rd WCDRR, organized by JCC2015 (Japan CSO Coalition for 2015 WCDRR).
There will be a total of 9 sessions, 3 2-hour sessions per day, between 14th and 16th March.
On the 17th March, in addition to the symposium, the main event will consist of performances including traditional art performances originated from the disaster-affected areas of Tohoku.
An estimated number of over 2000 participants will be involved in this event.
Several foreign guest speakers (Japanese- English Interpretation available) have been invited to present case studies in Japan and outside Japan, and to have a discussion session about civil society and disaster risk reduction.
